ProLearn Paper Builder

Using the Paper Builder

Five steps from an empty page to a worksheet on the printer.

  1. Find the questions. Open a topic on the left and tick a sub-topic, or narrow by difficulty, component, year, school or whether the school printed an answer. The chips stack. Typing a word in the search box finds it anywhere in a question or in its passage.
  2. Add them. Tick a question, or use the Warm-up, Core and Stretch buttons under each sub-topic to drop that many in at random. Quick add is bundle-aware: when it draws a passage-bound question it takes that passage’s other questions of the same level first, so you get one passage with several questions rather than several passages with one each.
  3. Check the balance. The panel on the right shows items, marks and how long the set should take a pupil, with a bar for the warm-up / core / stretch mix.
  4. Preview it. The Preview worksheet tab shows exactly what will print, in order, with each passage once above its questions. Unticking a question there takes it straight out — the quickest way to trim a set.
  5. Generate the worksheet. It opens in a viewer on top of the page, drawn page by page. The toolbar offers Save PDF, Print and Open in a tab.
